We humans are picky and when our defences are up, our individualism naturally rises.
This is a time where individuals will be more protective. We become more selfish, more insular.
We will each make decisions based on what things mean to us; the less it means, the less we will engage.
We will be more selective but also more responsive to things that truly resonate.
This is selection bias in motion.
Personalisation, storytelling and relevance will increase demand.
Mass activity without a valid context will decrease demand.
There is also the quite self-evident point that we will each have a lot more time to fill (The challenge of productivity working from home and all that!).
It all underscores that quality stories, relevant content and things we feel are personalised for us will win more and more.
